Optomap Ultra-Widefield Imaging
The Optomap is an ultramodern imaging system that uses a scanning laser ophthalmoscope to capture a 200-degree retinal image. This is particularly useful for detecting peripheral and metabolic retinal disease, such as small retinal tears or diabetic retinopathy.
Spectralis Ocular Coherence Tomography
The Spectralis OCT takes a Computerised Tomography (CT) scan of the retina, giving a highly detailed 4D insight into the multiple layers of the retina and choroid. This can detect microscopic changes associated with the early signs of conditions such as macular degeneration and glaucoma. In addition, building up a series of scans over time enables us to see subtle changes in structures such as the nerve fibre layer.

Our tailored treatments for “dry eye” address the underlying causes, providing effective relief for symptoms like dryness, grittiness, or watery eyes.
Eye Emergencies
We assess and treat many eye emergencies. As independent prescribers, our Optometrists can prescribe medications or perform minor surgery to treat a wide range of conditions “in house” or triage a referral to specialist hospital clinics when necessary.
Children’s Eye Care
Early diagnoses and interventions for children are crucial. We have an Optometrist with a special interest in visual stress, offering expertise in addressing sensitivities to patterns that may impact reading. We also offer myopia control treatments to reduce progressive short sightedness.
